Just browsing the internet b/c I wanted to know what the thoughts were on when to intro. solids for DS and found this website which I found informative and also simple and easy to read.

Thanks that is a really good website! In fact I might put it on the stickies as a reference!

What a great site! I wish I would have known about this site a year ago...
-
I like how straightforward it is. :) Glad it can be helpful to others.

we are fast approaching 6 mos, and I'm terrified, so this is super, super helpful!!!

That's an awesome site! thanks for sharing that :) We get loads of questions about the different formulas on CRC board so it will be easy to refer to that site for a concise explanation :)
One thing I noted though is it suggsets for feeding solids is that meat proteins are delayed will 9 months. My dietician ( who specialises in food intolerance and allergy for babies) would not agree - she says to get meats into them earlier, even though harder to digest, they need protein in their diet as they are not getting any from dairy or soy.

Thank you for posting!
I too wish I'd known more when DS was 3mo :(
We're seeing the Ped again after DS turns 1, and I'll be telling the Ped that he was WRONG to tell me to continue to eat dairy in my diet when DS was so obviously MPI >:( This is one reason why I had to stop BF far too early and I do blame the so-called 'professional' for this >:(

when should you intro meat then?
-
Thanks for posting this. It's very useful information and an easy read indeed.

Nicole, she suggest straight away at 6 months after a few veges, however I waited until 7 months, when I was sure he was ok with digesting easier to digest foods first.

Thanks, Eloise. I think that is the way I am leaning. I think I'll do a few veggies at 6 months and then go ahead with the meats. I used jarred foods for DD but I am going to try to make the first foods that DS eats so I know what is in them for sure.
