My DD is on solids and I just started making my own baby food. I purred spinach and it didn't go so well. But she loves the Earths Best Spinach and potato. Did I do something wrong? Should I mix veggies together?

What was it like? I always just steamed the spinach then pureed it. I don't think I added any more water or maybe just a tiny bit since it was always so wet from steaming. DS1 always liked sweet potato and spinach together. I froze all my baby food in ice cube trays and always made the spinach quantities smaller.

Mine always preferred it mixed. Like pp I oven baked sweet potato. I then streamed the spinach and squeezed the water out and sauteed it in butter then blended it together with a little milk. I always made a batch and then froze it. HTH x

I add spinach to fruit to sweeten it a little bit - apples or pears usually ;)

I put a mountain of spinach in a curry yesterday (it just disappears doesn't it?) and DS enjoyed it. Does your LO really need it puréeing at one year old? Maybe just try it as a finger food.

Oh yeah at a year old, I wouldn't bother with the pureeing! Not sure where you live but you can buy in the UK frozen chopped spinach which is great to add to sauces, try in a cheesy pasta sauce or a curry?
