OK,
so this year I'm gonna have to be a little more organised about Christmas (no more shopping at 6pm Xmas eve)!!!
I have no experience of buying toys for children and was just wondering if anyone had any reccomendations. The boys will be almost 8mo at xmas, not mobile yet but I guess they could be by then.
Thanks,
Kath

This is often posted on here for birthdays for 1YOs and it has been a big hit here. we got it for our DD for her first christmas when she was 8 months.

We got that ball popper for DS when he was 11 months and it caught on fire about 15 seconds after we turned it on...

The Discovery Tree is good, but I think we got it too late for DS - he was nearly 2 and although he has got use out of it I think he would have benefitted from it much more when he was younger, so I think that could be a good one for your boys.
This has been a HUGE hit with my DS, and many other kids that I know (DS still loves it!), even though they will be too young yet to ride it (possibly better as a 1st birthday pressie if you think too young at Christmas) it's still got loads to do - http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&q=vtech+train&gs_upl=953l4000l0l4844l11l10l0l0l0l0l219l1625l1.6.3l10l0&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=9818921841828954109#
Do they have a ball pit? Ours was really cheap and was the best thing we ever bought for DS.
DS also loved his shape sorter at that age.
