I make casseroles - just brown the meat and add the veggies and put in the oven for a couple of hours .... then use the hand blender to puree it up.  I also cook chicken etc and add tomato (tinned) and apricots, for example, and blend after cooking for 5 mins.

Annabel Karmel recipes are good

Also, any adult recipe (obviously not adding salt etc) cooked well are good and easy to puree.  If you have recently started solids then don't do too much too soon.  "Food before 1 is just for fun" and most nutrition comes from milk still.

If the meat is well enough cooked it should puree fine - as long as you are adding veggies to it, and enough liquid (Even water) .... I have a really cheap hand blender and that works fine.

What did the meat look like?

You do have to add a lot of liquid to get them come out as a thin enough puree for weaning. Prob more liquid than meat!

Cook meat in a stew with plenty of vegetables, think 2 to 1 ratio of veg to meat.  I used to cook it in a slow cooker to make sure it was really tender.  Then puree it with the vegetables and the cooking liquid.  Something about the vegetables in there help the meat to puree.  I found a traditional blender worked well but having looked online I reckon the magic bullet would work.  Just include loads of liquid and veg.
