I am thinking (hoping more like it) that DD is not so unusual in taking 8oz at each of her 5 feeds a day? In writing this post I suppose I'm wondering if there is anyone else who has a 5 month old taking in so much!!!! DD1 was taking half this much at the same age!!!

I say don't worry. I know a baby who was taking that at 2 months!

Growth spurt though? This intake isn't a growth spurt. It's the norm for 3 weeks now.

If she is taking it all and not throwing it back up at you it's what she needs! Babies are really good at self regulating so don't worry and feed to her appetite!

DS drank 8 oz every bottle past the 4 month GS. He sttn then too. When he stopped sttn at 4.75months our Dr suggested starting solids. We did, and at 25 lbs 8.5months old he can still pack it away.

WOW! It's just so startling different from DD1. I'm glad to know babies self regulate. I just don't want to over feed and it's good to know that's harder than I thought.

M was like this - starving for ages. It was only about 6-7 months she settled down.
