Title: 11 month old, I want to reduce formula amounts
Post by: vancouverbabies on March 23, 2012, 03:44:42 am
Hi there, schedule for my BIG 11 month old (like I mean 95-99th percentile for weight, height, etc.)
730 Bottle 6-7 oz
900 Big breakfast
1200 Bottle 5-6 oz
100 Lunch-not so big
330 Bottle 7-8 oz
530 Big dinner
Bedtime bottle 4-5 oz

Okay so I think I need to perhaps cut out the afternoon bottle with a snack and water now? And also, should I reverse the lunch time bottle/lunch and give solid lunch first? He sometimes takes up to 24 oz or more, and I have to move towards sippy cups and milk soon so...what to do first??? Thanks everyone.

The most common routine from about 10 months to 1 year is to do a wake up bottle, a bottle after lunch just before the PM nap and then a bedtime bottle.

In your case I would do lunch at 12, or even a touch earlier depending on nap timing and then a bottle before the PM nap. You can offer a snack and drink (sippy of milk?) when he wakes if he needs it or just make dinner a bit earlier. You may find he needs a bigger bedtime bottle. You will probably fine he eats more at lunch by doing food first!

HTH!
