Hello
DS is 5mo and has been eating solids for 5 weeks now. I am not sure how to space out his bottles and his solids at this point because even though he is eating a whole lot of fruits/veggies/grains at each meal, he still screams for more. I was doing this:
6am wake 5oz bottle
6:30-8:30 sleep
9 solids (4.5oz fruits and 2 tbspns oatmeal but now wants more!)
10:30-11:30 sleep
12 5oz bottle
1:30-3:30 sleep
4 solids (4.5oz veggies and 2 tbspns oatmeal but screams for more!)
5:30-5:45 catnap
8:00 bottle and bed
Now he wants this!:
6am wake 5oz bottle
9 solids and bottle
12 bottle
4 bottle
6:30-7 solids
8:30-9 bottle
????
What do I do?

Hi,
At this age, the milk is still most important. What you describe as him wanting, is great for this age. At 5 months, that's a lot of solids and the milk has way more nutritional value than the solids. You can probably scale back on the solids too and replace with milk.

So should he always have a bottle after each solid? Thank you for your feedback :)

I think right now as he is still showing hunger, a bottle with the solids is best.

Hi, I agree with Rachel. Milk has more calories than fruit and veg :)
