Title: Serving sizes and healthy snacks for toddlers
Post by: :: ANA :: on July 03, 2012, 18:09:18 pm

Hi!

Thought I should share these:

Serving sizes for toddlers
http://www.healthychildren.org/English/ages-stages/toddler/nutrition/pages/Serving-Sizes-for-Toddlers.aspx

Healthy snacks for toddlers
http://www.healthychildren.org/English/ages-stages/toddler/nutrition/pages/Selecting-Snacks-for-Toddlers.aspx

These are both from Healthy Children webpage, which is from the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics), and I find it to be a very good source of information, very updated for most of it, regarding all kind of health issues from prenatal to young adults.
Keep in mind this is from a pediatrician's (not necessarily a mom's) point of view.

Hope it helps! I know it's helping me at the moment to reduce my 1yo's milk intake and to feed him varied, balanced meals.
It's very similar to a post on this board from 2004 "Toddler Size Portions", with slight differences in the number of servings though.

Regards to all =)
