My 8th month old twins are now getting 3 solid meals a day. They are currently still getting 4 bottles. Before we started doing the 3 solids a day they would drink 7 oz each bottle. Now it is difficult to get them to finish 5-6oz. When and how do I know it is time to drop to 3 bottles? What does that look like? This is their current routine:
7-wake and bottle
8:30-solids
9:30ish -Nap
11/11:30-bottle
12:30/1- solids
2/2:30-Nap
3:30/4-bottle
5:30-solids
7-bottle
7:30-bed
It seems like when they wake up from their 2nd nap until bedtime, I am trying to cram in 2 bottles and dinner in such a short amount of time.

For sure you can try 3 bottles... DD was about this age as well... once we got to 3 meals of solids, it was kinda cramped at the end of the day!
So we did:
Wake and bottle of 8 ozs
Solids about 90 mins later
Nap #1
Lunch
Bottle and nap #2 (bottle 8 ozs about 15 mins before nap)
Dinner
Bottle 8 ozs and BT

I don't know what I would do without the help I get on this forum! Thank you!! We will try moving to 3 bottles and see how it goes.

Give it a few days and let me know how it goes ;)

We might be ready for this switch too. Sometimes DS wakes from his afternoon nap as late as 5pm, then I am trying to feed him when he wakes and again at 7:30pm...so squished together, and his BT bottle only ends up being about 4oz because he had a 7oz bottle only 2.5hrs earlier.
We might try going to 3 too :)

We have been doing basically this for a couple of months too and it's working well.
