Title: Wish me luck!
Post by: brummum on January 18, 2013, 09:56:36 am
Eugh. Is anyone else stuck indoors today because of the UK snow with a little man who LOVES to go out and needs plenty of physical activity? I'm not sure if we will both survive the day, he's going stir crazy already and it's only 10:00!! Any suggestions for indoor fun for a 1 year old greatly appreciated! Add in teething and 2-1 transition and you have a recipe for disaster!

Good luck I'm right there with you!  Although J also has a temperature to make it extra fun ;). Is he mobile yet?  Climbing the stairs, walking (hands held or otherwise) round the house, baby obstacle course?

Is the snow really bad? You can't go out at all?

Put the music on and dance like crazy :) Maybe you can find some ideas here: Physical Activity (To Tire Out) When Cold/Dark Outside - Ideas?
Good luck and (((hugs))), hope you survive the day! I am sure you will!

Well we survived!! A little bit of frustration here and there but otherwise everyone's in one piece! Thanks for the suggestions and link, lots of stair climbing today and braved the back garden (he loved the snow, yay) followed by a mess about in the bath. I'm sorry to hear J is ill, did she start nursery recently? Little man was brilliant over christmas and new year but first week back this year and we have another cold already, ick. Everyone keeps telling me its good for his immunity!
