Title: NW at 6 months due to hunger, i think?
Post by: Eva's Mummy on February 17, 2013, 11:28:33 am
for the past few weeks my LO has been waking at 5 and not going back to sleep so i have been feeding her and she takes a full 7 oz and falls back asleep until 7:30 or 8, last night she woke at 4:00 and took a full 7oz. Is there any reason why all of a sudden she is waking hungry or do oyu think maybe its another reason she is waking and as she is awake she realises that se is hungry?

She always used to sleep from 6:30 Df at 10:30 and wake at 7:00

So should i just keep feeding her during her night wakings, i don't need to worry about it becoming a habit that she will wake to be fed?

Also should i just give her a small bottle at her NW as she has only been taking 4oz in the morning?

I would :)  It could be that she is just in the stage where they can *almost* get through the night without a feed, but that feed they do have is interfering with the first morning feed.

When this happened for us, I reduced NF to 5 ozs, then down to 4 ozs a few days later.. then held that for a week or so, then down to 3 ozs... two nights of that and DD stopped waking up.
