My little cutie won't stop sucking her thumb while I'm trying to feed her. I try holding her hands, but that only works for a short amount of time and then she just gets so upset. It takes forever to feed her if I let her suck her thumb and she won't eat cause she's crying if I hold her hands. Plus it makes such a mess.
I don't want her to learn that she can thumb while she's eating, but I don't know how to get her to stop.
Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

How old is she? My dd used to do this, I don't really remember how but she stopped it by herself eventually. Does it happen more when she is tired?

She's 9 months. She does it all of the time no matter what!

My dd did that as well -- I can remember pulling it out long enough to shovel some food in and her popping it right back in. She did stop eventually, but like PP said, I can't remember when!
