Title: 6.5 month old...is moving to 3 + 1 NF bottles a bad idea?
Post by: ZacsMumme on May 02, 2013, 07:30:38 am
We have had endless problems with milk intake, feeding aversions, constipation and reflux. If I feed to frequently he isn't interested. If I feed quite far apart in a dark room he will take more in, without fussing and be more settled.

Today he had 2 ok bottles and one rubbish one, one great one. I'm thinking if I can offer 3 instead and 1 NF all 6 oz he will be getting more in and will most likely feed much better. :-\

Is this ok? - I mean his total intake would be the same if not more than 4.. Which is usually 4,3,4,5 and then 1-2 NF of 3-4

He also has 3 meals a day. ...

If it will increase his totals and you are fine with a NF, by all means go for it.  I think in T's case, with reflux and aversions etc, I would do it without question.

Thanks love.
We have a medication finally prescribed I never thought he would get and that I think may help with feeding so ill put the above on hold while I see if it works. If not then we will have to try this I think. :-*

He has had 5 oz all day and it's 2pm. 1-2 of it was spoon and syringe fed :o  :(

Oh T ::)  Good thing this isn't your first run at being a mom, you might well be in a right state otherwise!

Can you sneak some formula into some solids?

So much better today :) ::)
6oz 6am (then projectile ::) )
Pear @ 7.30
5oz 10.30
Pumpkin and pear @ 12
3.5oz 3pm
Planning pumpkin and chicken broth now at 4
BT feed offering 5 oz 6.15

I kind of think maybe if I spread all out a touch I could get 3 x 6 then 1 NF (usually 11) of 5 :-\
