Title: Not able to tolerate powdered formula?
Post by: TB9 on May 11, 2013, 00:30:54 am
Any one else's LO like this?

We switched DD2 from concentrate to powdered formula on Tuesday...and what a MESS it's been!  She's on Similac Sensitive because of her lactose issues and since switching her to the powdered form its just gone downhill.  She's so gassy!  And only eating 3oz, then stopping and crying because she's got burps :(  Even her poop has become more watery.

I feel like I'm crazy, are there other LOs sensitive like this?  I ended up running out and buying more concentrate tonight while DH comforted her during her crying spell, my poor little girl  :'(

My dd could ONLY drink ready-to-feed. The powder was a no-go for us.  She was on alimentum (MPI), and it was obvious right away that the RTF was fine, the powder not at all. Not sure if it's because it's so much thicker?

That is so interesting honey. Zac was bf but would tolerate the pre made small carton of a particular formula. (Singe serves) When I brought the tin of powder he.was.terrible I thought I was mad! (ESP since he wasnt even MSPI of anything)

So yes....they must be different in some way ???

I guess it isn't that uncommon! My SIL said both her boys were never on powdered formula!
