Hi there,
My baby has been eating solids for a month now. When he started eating solids, he was still drinking 24-30 ounces a day. Now, I am lucky if I get him to drink 15 ounces. I have tried decreasing his solids but nothing is working. He won't eat more than 2-3 ounces at a time (5 if I am lucky). I have him drink every 3.5 - 4 hours. He used to drink 8 ounces at a time no problem and drank 40 ounces easily before starting solids. Any help would be great.
I should probably add that I have a big baby - 18 pounds (about 8 kilos).
Thanks!

What is your milk/ solids routine like? Are you making sure that milk is given first and then solids about an hour after?
Have you got him on a fast flow teat? Is he teething as that can impact milk intake?
The other thing you can do is to stop solids totally for a couple of days until his milk intake improves and then add them back in again slowly.

Hi there!
Sorry for not responding, I did not get an e-mail letting me know that I had a reply.
I give him milk first, and solids are 45 minutes after. I switched today to a fast flow nipple and he drank 24 ounces today. So that may be the problem. He also just had 2 teeth pop out last week, so if that affects hunger, than that may be it. I was hesitant to switch to a fast flow nipple because he makes such a mess (milk goes everywhere ha ha) but if he drinks more, than I'll do that and put a bib on him when he drinks :)
Thanks so much for your help,

That's a better intake! I hope it continues for you!

I'm hopping on way after this thread finished but what brand nipples did you get? I'm having the same problem!
