My DD wants to drink all day long. When she wakes she has milk then when we come downstairs she has water with breakfast then basically all day she asks for juice (which is any drink to her, milk, water with a tiny splash of juice or plain water). She pretty much has a cup with her all the time and finishes it all the time. She also wants ice poles constantly. Should i stop her from drinking so much or is it ok? She always asks for it.

I don't think I would be worriedly LJ was drinking that much tbh. In fact, I'm sure lots of people on here would kill for this ;) I know you can drink 'too much' water, but I don't know how much this is and really don't think a LO would be able to consume 'too much' xxx

How much go you think she is getting volume wise in a 24 hours period? Does she wake at night to drink?

There are a couple of medical things that can cause excessive thirst and high fluid intake. If it really is a lot I think I would as a GP to check or decide if it is worrying.

^^^agree with this

I would say she probably has around 45-50oz of fluids a day. (I'm guessing this is alot?) We are back at the doctors on Friday about her possible asthma so i will ask then.

I have to make a real effort to drink that much (plus also consider fluids in foods as well). I would for sure mention it, my DD2 was similar at that age and they just did a simple finger prick to test her blood sugar and took a urine sample. All was good but nice to have piece of mind! She still drinks quite a lot compared to her sister (same size almost) but not as much as she did then.
