Title: blueberries or vanilla
Post by: babybarr on July 08, 2014, 14:00:49 pm
So the boys had a banana blueberry and vanilla pouch yesterday. They've never had blueberries before and all their food recently has been home cooked and 'safe' H started violently vomiting about 4hrs after his tea. He wasn't sick again and has been fine today. No temperature or anything. Could it be the blueberries?

Laura, I don't know the answer to your question but maybe by bumping it up someone will come to your aid!  Is he any better now?

Is anything else in the pouch at all? Or is it purely those ingredients? (Some have preservatives etc)

Blueberries were safe for T but that doesn't mean they can't cause a reaction.
They contain salycilytes (natural chemical found in food that can cause reactions in some kids) http://www.worldofblueberry.com/essential-facts-about-blueberry-allergy/

Might that pouch have gone bad? I got food poisoning from a bad cup of yogurt many years ago.
