Title: What comes after Neocate LCP when they turn 1?
Post by: Livvysmum on August 22, 2014, 14:01:39 pm
Hello,

My daughter has a severe allergy (anaphylactic) to all milk products (cow, goat etc) She is currently on Neocate LCP and is doing well. She will be turning 1 shortly and it says on the Neocate tin that it is for babies 0 to 12 months. My dietician told me to continue her on Neocate so I thought there would be a next stage in the Neocate range but there doesn't appear to be. She can tolerate soya yogurt (alpro) but has never had soya formula. I am a bit nervous about giving her too much soya as I've that babies who take in high levels of phytoestrogens could have problems as they reach puberty.

Has anyone continued to use Neocate LCP over the age of 1 for dairy allergies or have you gone onto something else. My GP doesn't have any idea so I'm not getting any help there and we don't see the dietician again for another 4 months.

Thank you for any help!

I thought they did another product for after 1. My ds2 was on neocate until 1 then we switched to coconut milk as he was only intolerant not allergic. Take a look at the company that makes neocate website - I'm sure they did like a smoothie/milkshake product for after 1.
