Hi K is now 22 months. On the lower end of sleep needs. Her naps are only usually around an hour on childcare days and sometimes up to 1.5hrs at weekends if she needs to catch up a bit.
Today she's completely refused her nap!!!! I've tried twice and it's not happening! I've now put a film on hoping she might nod off but she's pretty awake and I feel on the verge of getting a bit hyper ::)
She usually wakes between 5.30-6. Today was 6.
Nap 1-2ish. If needing a catch up I sometimes do 12.30-2 of a weekend.
BT 7
So what do I do today? Car nap? How long, what time would you give up? EBT? - she's not great at tacking on though and 11hr night seems to be her max. This nap refusal business is new territory for me as she usually loves her nap so I haven't a clue what to do for the best today?
Thanks

Aah, the joys of the 1-0 :) Jack doesn't nap at nursery now and I'm limited as to how early I can do BT cos of work. Having said that he doesn't tack on either and I've actually found he does better with a BT of 6.40 / 6.45 on nnds. Any earlier and we get more nws. His normal BT is 7 as well. It's been trial and error though, but thought I'd mention it as jack also has similar nights to your LO by the sounds of it.
Alternatively, lily used to do a car nap, but I had to do it roughly within the realms of her normal nap time (I.e. asleep by 2.15 / 2.30 and only sleep for 30 minutes). If she slept later in the day, even for half an hour, it made things worse.

She fell asleep in the car on the way back from the shop at 2.35 so will give her 30 mins.
I'm not ready for the 1-0 if this is the beginning!!!

It could well be - lily started at around this age and was done with regularly napping by 2yrs 4/5 months I think...

Why is it every Friday she refuses her nap!
She naps fine for an hour the rest of the wk at the cm but past 2 Fridays she's not even entertaining the idea of a nap here????
I really don't fancy having to go out in the car right now in the cold so she falls asleep ::)

We used to have that too - lily's nap dropping completely revolved around the days she was at nursery, and when she'd caught up on sleep etc. We had a weekly routine as well as a daily one!
If she's refusing her nap she's probably self regulating and will catch up any missed sleep tomorrow :)

Right well someone can't hack the NND and has literally just toppled over asleep on the sofa. What now? She can't go to bed at 4.30!
ETA I roused her straight away with a couple of milky buttons :P
She's now eating dinner so will keep her going a little longer.

Awww, did she get to an EBT okay? Was her night alright?

She was asleep at 6.10 but we had a long NW and still up at 5am so not a success. Sure she'll want a long nap today...

Oh dear, yes, good catch up nap tomorrow hopefully. We are in a similar position with Jack atm - struggling to find a routine which works for him - an hour nap seems to be too much for him, but he's already having 2 nnds in a row at nursery so it feels like we're constantly swinging between OT and UT. I can only hope this phase passes quickly!
