Ok so with DD1 I ended up giving sainsburys own kids yoghurt which has less sugar than most kids but with DD2 I would like to just get natural yoghurt BUT can I find full fat natural yoghurt anywhere. I can get fat free and low fat. I have tried Asda, Tesco, Aldi, Morrisons is it just me or am I missing something somewhere?

They definitely have natural yoghurts that are own brand and not low fat in Tesco and Morrisons, they do it in the greek style too. Total greek yoghurt is the one I used a lot as it's thicker so you can add puree without it becoming too runny (and it's yummy!). Total do a zero fat and an ordinary higher fat one.

The are hard to spot as the packaging is basically the same but the full fat in Tesco is a darker blue where the lower fat is lighter! They do big tubs and small pots, I used to buy smaller pots as although they are more expensive by weight you use them all before they go off.

I think if you are looking for individual portion size pots it's much harder. The larger pots keep for 3 days once opened. Don't know if you can get through that much in 3 days, depends if you like yoghurt. I usually get Total Greek yoghurt (not 'Greek style' which I think is different) as I can get a smaller pot, but when they don't have that I get one of the others mentioned.

We use Greek yoghurt too :)

We prefer organic so we use Yeo Valley Greek yoghurt, Rachel's also do lovely ones. If you see them, the 'little yeos' are basically refined sugar-free petit filous. Yum. (I'm told.)

Thanks everyone. I used to get little yeos I didn't realise they were better then normal kids yoghurts so I will get them again. I got onken natural yoghurt and mixed some fruit puree into it and you should have seen her face, you would have thought I gave her a lemon to bite. Anyway her brought it back up so I don't think she liked it much after all that.

B hated yoghurt the first few times, loves it now though :)

I like the little yeos because they're only fruit and fromage frais, slightly different texture to yoghurt I think, though I haven't tried them. For yoghurt we generally mix the greek style (oops just wrote 'geek style'!) with apple purée.

Sorry to ask... Can we give yoghurt or any cow milk products for Lo under 1yo?

It's normal to do so here (UK), bits of cheese, milk in foods like rice pudding, and yes yoghurt as we are discussing. All this is usual, unless there is any history of dairy intolerance. :) If you've any concerns, or would like new ideas, maybe a new thread of your own?
