My DH and I are taking our anniversary vacation without our LO in 5 weeks and will be gone for 4 days. He will be 8 months old and I EBF. I am going to take the pump and try to pump as often as I can but anyone have experience on drying up being away from baby? I am committed to pumping morning and night the entire trip and will try to also get in a day time pump. He is on a 4 hour EASY and eats 4 times a day.

I shouldn't think so. As long as you pump at the times you would normally feed, it should be fine. Your supply will be will established by now

I went away for 3 days and 2 nights when ds2 was 13mo. He was eating 4 times a day and I pumped 3 times each day (too busy to pump 4) and it was fine in terms of supply. I did get a blocked duct as the pump wasn't as efficient at emptying but it cleared as soon as I fed LO on my return.

Thanks ladies! That was my hope. I may miss a pump or two but hoping he will get me back on schedule once I return

I did 4 days away when DS was 9 months and pumped and dumped. Aimed for 3x but probably did more like 2 x. All was fine upon my return, but I was so worried, I also have a thread just like this one 9 yrs ago lol! Wanted to mention, I brought a pic of my baby boy and kept in room to help with pumping iykwim? Hugs. xo
