Title: advice on feeding solids and schedule pls
Post by: torimama on April 21, 2015, 18:56:36 pm
Hello to everyone! I am new here. But I am not new to BW - her book was my guiding light when my, now 6y old, was a baby. Now I have a 6.5mo old DD and still find BW the best for us. I recently discovered BWF, as I was looking for help with the routine. It was easier when I had only 1 kid, and everyone could just adjust to  DS needs. Now there are 2. DS and DD schedules have to be coordinated. With solids it is becoming difficult - here is her current schedule, does it seem reasonable? She is also not very interested in solids. We started solids at 6mo, tried earlier, she WAS NOT ready! But even now, she would spit and gag, and does not seem to be particularly enjoying the spoon feeding. I considered BLW, but the risk of chocking is too scary for me and my nanny. Feeding her is a huge struggle!
Before  we started solids she was on a strict 6am-6pm every 4 hours bottle
Any suggestions about the schedule and/or improving the feeding experience are very much appreciated!

Hi - 6.5 months is till very young and so I would take it at her own pace. You are already on 3 meals a day so maybe cut back to one and see if she has more interest?

Welcome to the forums :)

Some LOs just aren't into solids until they are a bit older.
