Title: Dropping to 3 bottles
Post by: Eva's Mummy on May 02, 2015, 10:26:51 am
I think its time to drop to 3 bottles, in fact I probably should have done it a while ago but it didn't occur to me until now.She is currently having 4 bottles but only taking 4oz. I cant workout when to best fit the 3 bottles and solids in with her routine which is.

WU 7:30
S 10:30 - 12:30
S 15:30 - 17:00
BT 20:00

Thanks x

I would go for bottles at WU, BT and around 2/3pm.
Solids at 8am after WU bottle, small snack before nap, light lunch around 12:30 and dinner at 5. Would it suit you?

Give her a few days to adjust to a new routine. You may need to scale the solids back a bit to get her to increase the milk and then slowly increase the solids again.

ok, she's never really been a great milk drinker but now she is only taking 3oz for her 1st bottle, (I pop another 3 into her porridge). Afternoon bottle she really doesn't want, I'm lucky if she takes 3oz again then BT usually about 6oz.

I'm doing BLW for the first time so maybe I am giving her too much but when I look at what's left on the floor, chair, hair  ;D I don't think it really is a lot.
