Title: 2 year old APOP and NW
Post by: MarciaMSPT on July 19, 2015, 18:58:50 pm
So, my little guy is two.  Naps are still doing fine - 1.5-2 hours nap at 1:30pm.

Going down is rougher and rougher - ends up falling asleep on me and now starting with NW again.  Could be due to the heat and we can't run the air at night.  It's hot and humid here :(

BUT, I am also thinking of the horrible 2 year sleep regression that I've heard so much about...

His BT has been pushed from about 8pm to now, 8:30 when he falls asleep.

Open for thoughts and suggestions... before I turn desperate! :)

Hi there, I'm going to move this over to Sleeping for Toddlers where you'll get more eyes with experience of the 2yr sleep regression or 1-0, which is the other thing which could be going on here. Here is a FAQ to have a read of :

The 1-0 transition...Advice and Tips to help you through.

Thanks, I had a notion this was in the wrong spot but wasn't sure where to post - knew you all would put it in front of the correct eyes! :)

Hello,

My guess would be that he's a bit UT at BT which is why it's getting tricky.  If he naps 2hrs 1.30-3.30 that's only 5hrs until BT at 8.30 so he's possibly just not tired after such a long nap.  Have you considered capping the nap?

That, or could he have 2 yr molars on the move?

How old is he exactly?

What are the NWs like?  How you do deal with them?

What time is his WU in the morning usually?

Sorry for all the qns, just trying to get the whole picture :)

What were your thoughts after reading the 1-0 FAQ?

Sorry - just now back on here... not sure how it was solved but it was solved some time ago.  2years and three months... going well despite and unfortunate fall down 5 steps and then off the edge head first onto concrete which resulted in a double skull fracture. :(  thanks for your help here!
