Title: 4 month sleep schedule
Post by: Baby_A_Mama on September 18, 2015, 03:11:20 am
For the most part things are going well with my 4 month ills. We are definitely battling the 4 month sleep regression but my first was awful so this time around doesn't seem as bad.

Some days his nap lengths put us into a very awkward situation which leads to a very bad night.  Wake times are usually 1hr40 min to 2 hours. He typically settles to sleep well and naps well. Usually has 2 1.5-2 hr naps, then a short 45 minute one ending around 5. Sets us up great for 6:30 ish bedtime. Occasionally however, he pulls two very long naps, leaves no time for a third. He'll wake around 3pm. I try to get him to snooze for a tiny nap in the evening but won't go, then it's ultra overtired baby for the night, even if I try a very early bedtime, he just won't go.

Any ideas? Should I wake him by 2:30 ensuring time for a third nap? I never like waking a peaceful little guy but I sit here typing this as I am on 2+ hours of trying to get him to sleep tonight.

I go through this often as my DS2 is currently doing the 3-2 transition.  Personally, if DS is awake by 3:30pm or just before, I squeeze in a CN, no longer than 30mins but he just can't make it until BT.  If he wakes after 4, we're gtg.  I hope that helps a bit!
