Title: 3 weeks old wont burp/won't eat

So we've been struggling with my 3 week old since birth. He's FF but doesn't burp. He just gets full of air and falls asleep, only to wake later screaming or crying with the need to burp. Currently we wake him thru the day every 3 hours to eat to get calories into him and on a good feed he will eat 2.5oz. I have tried every possible suggestion to get him to burp without success. At night he easily goes 4-6 hours between feeds as we don't wake him. And he easily burps and drinks a full 4.5 oz. he has always been easy to settle to sleep and naps well.

Any suggestions?

Congratulations! I was told to use gripe water to increase DS2's ability to burp, from 4 weeks. He's got a lot easier with time, but still does have some wind that comes back later. If I keep him relatively upright with my hand on his tummy I'm most likely to succeed.
