Title: Almost 6 months and totally lost it
Post by: princesscarla1 on February 19, 2016, 09:35:42 am
Hi everyone

Hoping someone can help me.

My little girl is a week off turning 6 months, we've been following easy great overall and we where really getting in a good routine.

My mother in law had baby on monday and only gave her a 45 minute nap in the afternoon, since then we've spiralled out of control with night sleep and naps. She is seriously overtired but no matter how much i follow her sleep clues I normally follow she just won't settle and go to sleep.

She usually sleeps in her cot for all naps and evening sleep now she just screams if i try to put her down. I have no idea to get out this over tiredness cycle she's in. Do i put her down 20/30 minutes short of her usual nap time despite her awake times being all over? She woke at 5:45 this morning and I've been trying since to get her back down (now 9:30)  >:(

He routine up until a few days ago was like this:

E - 7
A - 7
S - 9

E - 11
A- 11
S - 1

E - 3
A - 3
S - 4:30

E - 6
A - 5
S - 7

Sorry this was missed hun!  Wow your routine before looks great!

When she woke at 5:45am this morning what time did you aim for your first nap?  Her A times seem to be slightly on the low side, but they seemed to be working for you before as you were getting good naps.  Did she self settle previously?  I'm wondering if you just AP a nap (the first one?) it might help to catch her up and then maybe set the tone for the rest of the day yk?

I do wonder if she is just UT for those naps, 2hr A time at6 months is very short. I'll see if i can find the 3-2 nap transition sticky for you to read through.
