Hiiiiii...question...do the dreaded 45 minute naps stop by themselves as the child gets older...yup, I'm currently battling with it...it feels like it they will NEVER end!!
-
how old is your baby?
-
10weeks on Thursday!
-
I hope so. We're battling the same and DD2 is 16 weeks!
-
16 weeks 😁😂!!!!
-
well some babes do take longer but yes it will end eventually. both mine were older than yours but we got there in the end
-
When you say say 'got there in the end' does that mean you used sh pat to get them there?
-
I think with my DD1 (who didn't start the 45min naps until she was about 4 months) started sleeping longer by herself without me doing anything when she was on 2 naps???? So about 6 months old possibly!!!
-
:'( 6 months!!!!
-
both mine were also 6 months when they could reliably get past 45 mins. the good thing was that they could go to sleep on their own at the start of the nap. for us it was the transition that was the problem. sometimes just putting a hand on them would work other times I would need to pick up for a couple of minutes and put back down other times they just woke up.
that's not to say that yours will take that long. working on them being able to go to sleep independently at the outset is the first step!!

Yup my DS was about 6ish months too when he could finally get past it. Same seems to be going for my DD.

Well I'm hopeful that it'll happen at some point! She fusses but will go to sleep after 5 mins by herself. Over the past few days I've extended her A time to 1 hour 10 and she's woken at 45 but got herself back up but kept waking then settling every 10 mins or so..today I surrendered and after 1 hour where she wouldn't settle and I took her out in the pram!
