Is it normal for 12 week old to be eating every 3 hours at night still? She has reflux and medicated but we have to keep upping her dose as she gains weight. I'm about to switch to a different brand to see if it helps at all.
When her reflux was fully controlled, she could go 4+ hours at night but now she's back to hardly sleeping at all at nights. She's very fitful and restless.
She does okay if I hold her to sleep though. I'm just trying to decide if her rough night sleep and hunger is caused from reflux or if it's still normal for this age

It might be a growth spurt. I think the 3 month mark is a typical one. How long has it been that she's feeding every 3 hours?
May I ask which reflux med she is on now? You probably already know this, but for some of them, you have to give 30 mins prior to feeding to be effective. The proton inhibitors are not as strict, I believe.

Hi - I have just found this FAQ - might be worth a read through?
Six Weeks to Four Months: Growth Spurts

Buntybear, that was perfect.
My DS had colic/reflux/sensitivity and once reflux was under control, nights were better except during growth spurts. He was feeding like a newborn again... almost every 2 hrs during the day.

Thank you ladies.
She's currently on Zantac but we are about to switch to Prevacid suspension. Hoping that helps...

Hope it does!

Thank you both!
So hard when there's multiple variables to know what's causing issues!! Reflux meds, dairy sensitivity, growth spurt...
