He is driving me mad. Always in them. Always emptying and spilling things >:( >:(.
Handleless design so really hard to lock :-\.
Any suggestions? It is an open plan house so really he is free to wander, and I have to do stuff apart from drag him out of cupboards the whole day long!!

It's so annoying to have to spend £££ though >:(. I guess I will have to though - if I want to preserve my sanity at all 🙈.

Those things aren't expensive, maybe like $10 for a pack of 4 or something like that.

The ones Sari linked are what we have had since DD1 was a toddler - they have really stood the test of time and were pretty cheap. We just have them on 2 sets of cupboards - the one under the sink where the dishsoap/garbage bags etc are and one on the cupboards with recycling bins (ah yes love DD3 when she digs in the garbage or recycling...yuck!).

I think DS mostly responded to being told he couldn't open the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen and the safety lock things were more of an added extra but although our kitchen is open to the rest of the house there was a way I could gate off entrance to it so I could lock him out of there if I wasn't able to supervise. If you can't gate and be there to put the verbal instruction in place I think locks are the only option.

Every time he is removed from a cupboard he goes ballistic. He really does seem to believe that it is a 'serve yourself' free for all round here. Especially at lunchtime (he is at the age when he misses lunch because of naps so has a snack before and after). He wants to raid the cupboard or nothing else.
The little click locks are cheap - but do they result in trapped fingers a lot? He's a nightmare with fiddling, so pretty much pain with all drawers and doors etc anyway.

We always had one cupboard they were allowed into - they could mess about there to their hearts content. But they weren't allowed in the others. Worked quite well.

I worried a lot about those clips trapping fingers but I don't think DS ever had any trapped fingers, then again I'm not the best to advise because as I said he basically followed the verbal and I could mostly keep an eye on him so the clips for us were an added. I would imagine it only takes one or two trapped fingers to get the message though!

I never had those lock things either - I went for the ultra-cheap option of putting elastic bands around the door handles! tbh, they were very rarely tested since the LOs took out their exploring urge on "their" cupboard.

We had a click lock on the lounge cupboard (DVDs!) and I don't remember trapped fingers...
