Title: EBM for a 3yo?
Post by: Martini~ on February 27, 2017, 08:46:21 am
Do you think I can give my 3yo milk which I expressed for my newborn? I am usually expressing in the evenings for DF, but DS2 never drinks much of that so I usually freeze to build a stock. However I am on holidays now and I don't have the opportunity to freeze so I would have to throw milk out, which seems to be a waste... So in the morning DS1 got my milk in a cup. Liked it. Is that fine you think...?

Sounds fine to me.

He'll probably benefit from the antibodies in it too :)

Definitely. Loads of people around the world are still feeding directly from the breast at 3yo. It makes more sense to give human milk from a child's own mum than it does to give the milk of another species, such as a cow, when you think about it 🙂
