He seems to be extremely OT to me Honey and I would consider going back to one two naps for a while, with a 10min nap in the morning which will help him go through to a normal nap time around 12. Is 6-6 you desired routine? If so, 11am nap would also be fine. He does a good night once in a while but it seems to be a crash rather than a routine-wise thing.

Thanks for the reply Hun I agree he's over tired he's had two naps again today I think I will just have to put up with early wake ups for the time being and let him have two naps he was having at least two hours over the two naps having dropped to one he is barely scrapping a hour x
Yeh 6-6 works for us as have two other boys who go at 6.3 & 7.30 x

Our LO are similar ages and he goes a couple of days on 1 nap then back to 2 naps for a few days.

Or day looks a little like this
WU 6/6.30
Nap 9.30 for 20 mins
Nap 1pm for 1.5/2 hours has to be up by 2.40pm for school runs
BT 7pm

1 nap day it's nap 11.45/12 to 1.45/2pm
Bt 6.45pm x

Thanks Hun well he seemed to be doing good on one nap he was sleeping right through and waking up later but then this started he will not nap long any more either today he had two naps one was 45 mins and the other was 65 mins I woke him as it was getting late

This dropping naps is hard work. X

If he would have a long nap I think would be fine but because he won't he's getting so over tired he had two naps yday and slept last night he has had two today so I will see how he goes x

So today he went for his nap at 9.45 four hours after wake up and he slept for two hours! He hasn't napped that long for ages so now he won't have another nap as there isn't enough hours left so one nap will have to do today but I'm thinking maybe like u he would be ok on one nap once in a while esp when he took such a long nap x

How did the night end up being?

I'm lucky with DS2 as in he will CN and have a long nap still or just one nap or lots of CN if we're out and about and doesn't massively bother him but DS1 at this age I had to be set on nap at 11.30/12 no matter what time WU or he wouldn't nap.

If he won't CN then I think really you need to try setting the nap about 11am regardless of EW to try and balance your day.?

Hon being honest I wouldn't let him nap that long if he goes to sleep before 10:30/11:00z if he nods of at 9/10 wake him after less than 20min and offer a second nap.

Thanks girls your defo right so he's had two naps today I capped the first nap this morning and I've put him down for a second nap
Thanks girls I will defo keep it all
In mind and cut first nap and offer a second I would rather have earlier mornings then him waking crying from over tiredness x

I generally do the short nap as he's keener to have that earlier and then go somewhere that involves lots of activity so he's ready for nap again x

Thanks girls well he's had two naps today does it matter the length of these naps like can he have two hour naps or does the first one have to be short ?
He seems reallt tired again this evening probably from last night I think he's teething to just hoping he sleeps tonight x

I think it depends on your child, mine likes a good 1.5 restful nap so I make the other shorter but if. 2 hour ones work for you then fine x

That's why I would strongly encourage you to wake him from the first nap very shortly after he statutes sleeping and let him do a longer second np without capping.

As said before it depends on his mood and nap time. If he woke early or is just tired in the morning And need a nap around 9/10am I would cap at 10/15/20min and do a proper nap later when you don't cap. If he is happy to go till 11 I wouldn't cap and go for 1nap day with bedtime at 6:30.
