Currently away in our caravan and have had a full on day out. Had ewu and grumpy episodes all day, currently refusing to go to sleep. I’m on my knees!! Usually she conks out the little monster. To top it off oh and I had a blazing row so I just want to cry really 😔

Oh dear sounds stressful, have a little cry I always find it helps. If it’s stressing you out, take her out in the fresh air for a bit see if she can chill out a bit or have a story together!?x

Oh Zoe, she’s been a proper madam most of the day 🤦♀️
It is mega hot but I know what a rubbish bedtime usually equates to, ewu 😳😔
Got a busy day out at the zoo tomorrow and I’m already stressing about how she’ll be 😢
Oh just thinks I’m a mental case 😔🙄
She has been out in the fresh air all day. With an hour in a soft play thrown in!! I’m thinking a bit over stimulated maybe. Such a fine balance and what worked the other week doesn’t this week in the van. Literally 3 weeks ago she was on her knees at bedtime, this trip she’s fought bedtime both nights so far. We’re only away til Tuesday and to be honest I’ll be glad to get home to go to work for a rest!

It is hard on hols all routine can go out the window and yes over stimulation can make it hard to settle down.
Try to just go with the flow Hun don’t worry about it too much and enjoy your hols, this too shall pass and soon be forgotten.
If it’s any consolation DS2 is being very trying at the min, waking at night not going back to sleep unless he sleeps with us and very angry with lots of things...I’m praying it’s a developmental phase.😬🙄😉

Aw hun I know it’s developmental here too, it’s so draining my brain hurts most days.
Oh was so hurtful earlier to me, I’m laying awake whilst he sleeps cos I’m so upset by it. I think I find it hard having anxiety that he thinks should just be cured by now or something. I hate having it but it’s now part of who I am and I worry he doesn’t love me anymore. Sorry I’m offloading other stuff now. I’m sure I will feel better in the morning x

Yep, another short night! 🤦♀️ Gonna be a long day at the zoo. I wouldn’t mind if she was an easily distracted child but nope she ain’t. If she’s gonna benny there isn’t a thing you can do about it, zoo or no zoo 🙈😳🙄🤞

Awhh sorry I was asleep and didn’t see your post. I hope OH is kinder this morning to you, I’m sure he does love you it’s just hard when little ones are demanding. He prob feels left out....sometimes they need your attention. Maybe have a little heart to heart with him!?
Can you let her have a buggy nap or car nap today!? If nights are a bit wonky then sometimes a nap just helps as a one off x

We are only 10 mins from the zoo so doubt she’ll car nap either 😳

We had an ok day considering, no major attitude. Just got it after bathtime, opted for slightly earlier bedtime in the hope it helps 🙄😳
Just put her into bed so fingers crossed 😳🤦♀️🙄😔

So far so good 🤞less thrashing around than last night. More like her usual settling. She must be knackered tho, she’s pretty much walked the whole of Chester zoo today. My fit bit says I’ve done around 11000 steps so she must have done the same if not more with little legs. No complaint about walking either although we did have lots of stops for photos, her choice not ours, little poser 😂❤️
We did 2 goes on the monorail too which helped I think.
Plus oh seems in a better mood today which also helped. Miserable ****

She pulled a 12 hour yay 🤦♀️
Typical, we’re off home now lol.
I think some of it is to do with the potty as she’s having lots of dry nights now 🤞

Thanks Zoe,
She does tend to stay in her room/on her bed, but she’s a blumming grump when she’s tired and any nap now seems to have massive negative effects in bedtime so spend all car journeys poking her awake, much to her utter disgust!!!
I am convinced it’s the toilet stuff as she has been dry overnight all week now and has gotten up for a wee in her potty.
She seemed to understand the concept of blue means go back to sleep and orange means she can wake up. Let’s see what the morning brings x

Yes we’re at same stage and today’s 1.5 hour journey and no way of keeping him awake has resulted in hour faffing at bedtime!

I’m not worrying too much right now as we go to Florida this weekend and involves long car drive, plane rides, more car rides so sleep will be messed up for a couple of weeks.

She had a better night and seems to understand the concept of the clock as she told me she went back to sleep via it was still blue. Who knows, could be coincidence lol

She seems to really like the clock and was so excited this morning that mr sunshine was awake 👍🏻
We also bit the bullet and gave up her dummy last night. Big step for her, even bigger for me and my anxiety 🤦♀️ A trip to the dentist helped as I used it to my advantage. She wasn’t happy but nothing too major, she also had a muslin cloth for comfort and her dolly. She slept all night no problems. Loads of praise this morning for everything and a promise of a trip to build a bear at the weekend so she can put her favourite dummy inside to keep forever ❤️

It’s all bitten me in the bum now 😳
Mega ot, obsessed with the clock and dummy. I know I’ve got to ride this one out but omg it’s breaking me tonight. Fighting bedtime, despite almost falling asleep at the tea table in Nursery 🤦♀️
I know we’ll have a mega early wake up tomorrow to finish me off on a weekend.

Hope you’re having a fab time. We’ve been a bit up and down since the dummy has gone. She’s not been upset at bedtime but ewu’s returned and we had a ‘bad dream’ for the first time last night bless her. She said her teddy scared her!! She settled again ok after some cuddles and I have her my teddy to look after her and we banished the scary one!! Their little imaginations 🤦♀️
We are off on another caravan jolly in the morning, fingers crossed it’s less traumatic than the last trip 🙄
