Title: Sleep training - I want just my mom
Post by: morgana133 on January 02, 2019, 14:43:34 pm
Hi everyone!
I’ve just started the sleep training of my 4 months LO. We are following the 4S method with a little success because unfortunately my LO isn’t used to nap at a precise hour (my fault). But the real problem is that she want just me. When  my husband try to confort her to
nap she gets really angry, she cry out loud and there is no way to confort her until I take her. He want to help me but at the moment he is very discouraged. Shush pat and PU/PD are unsuccessful when he use them. Do you have any suggestion? Should I be the only one to do the training maybe? I am very worried she wants just me because I am going to come back to work in a month. Please help!

Naps at a precise hour really don't matter, it's more the ritual that indicated it's time to have a nap eg the 4S's,
One of the reasons it may not work with anyone else is that he may need to tweak his own rituals that are slightly different to your's but indicate a routine. Rather than you stepping in it could be worth him trying to see if he can have a ritual & then let her sleep in his arms for a day or two & then work towards sleeping in the crib.
