Title: W2S 40 min napper
Post by: Melcamp523 on February 07, 2019, 16:56:35 pm
Anyone have success with w2s?  I keep planning to do it but right before I go in he often wiggles and I wonder if I’m still suppose to make him move 10 mins before or not because he just did on his own?  He wakes at 42 mins pretty much every single nap. Then I rock and shoosh and sing him back. Sometimes I have to do that 2-3 times to get a descent 1.5 hr nap out of him. It’s exha and frustrating. Any advice would be great.

Neither W2S nor pat-sh worked with either of mine.

Here's our story of how we got past the 45-minute monster: https://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=649.0

What age is your baby, as lots of babies in the 3/4 months range just don’t do more than 45mins and it’s more about development than what a parent does

I've used W2S with success for night sleep when my DD was 1 or 2.  But not with naps.

The 30/35 min naps could also could be a sign of your LO being UT/OT.  Have you tried tweaking the A time a little?  (making it longer/shorter)  Has your LO ever taken longer naps?

How old is your little one? 40 minute naps for mine means I put them down to early and missed the nap window.  What are their awake times? How many naps are they taking?
