Title: 5 1/2 Month Old Doesn't Sleep--Is he hungry? HELP PLEASE! ;)
Post by: zizzer05 on February 27, 2019, 19:09:34 pm
My DS is 5 1/2 months old. We don't have the best schedule down but he does well at the sitter's during the day for naps. Here is his schedule, I'm hoping someone can help me out with how much he needs to eat during the day so he can sleep at night.

Currently he eats 16 ounces during his 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. day at the sitter's. It's broken down into 4 ounce bottles.
He takes a bottle & then naps from 8:30-9:15.
Awake & plays
Bottle around 11:30 & naps
Bottle around 1:30, goes back to sleep until 2:30
Bottle around 4
I pick him up and he's home with us and eats 2-3 cubes of homemade baby food, we play, bathe and then bed around 8 p.m. I usually nurse him before bed. He only takes breastmilk. How many ounces should he be eating and should I add solid food during his day at the sitter's? I should add he never takes a long nap. 30-45 minutes and you're lucky to get an hour and 15 minutes out of him.

He's going to sleep fine but waking up within 2 hours, wants to eat and may wake every 1.5-2 hours after that. Sometimes he wakes more than that. HELP!!! We are going crazy! Or I am at least! He's so happy and it's upsetting to see him so sad at night. I shh and pat at him but he is a fighter and a bear to get back down.
