Hi, I am wondering if it is possible to put a 30 min napper on 4 hour EASY routine. My LO is 5 months now but still on 3 hour feeding routine. He only takes 30-45 min naps. I would like to transition him to 4 hour feeding routine, I think he is very ready for it and we would both benefit from it, but do not know how to manage it around naps. Has anyone tried?

It's recommended to feed on demand now so I'd just offer when he shows hunger signs

My little man is 5 months and can often only nap for 45mins, but is on a 3.5-4hr schedule.
It just means our day ends up a little like EASAE, rather than EASEAS

MiniNs could you possibly post for me your usual daily routine so I can have general idea how to arrange ours?
Ali, I know I can feed him on demand; however, even with a second baby I am not that good at reading his hungry signs. I always relied on our routine and kind of followed it if I wasn’t sure.

Sorry for delayed response - I thought I had replied!
WU 6:30
E 6:30/7:00
A 1hr45-2hrs
S: 8:30 (usually around 45mins, sometimes he randomly goes 1hr10)
A:
E: 10:30
A: approx 2hrs
S: 11:30ish (again, usually 45mins, but on odd occasion does 90mins. I often try and APOP him back to sleep if I can as if this nap is short then it makes the rest of the day more difficult)

This is where it get a bit higgledy piggledy.
If he has only had 45mins on nap 2 then we end up having 2 further catnaps, to get us to BT.
E: 14:00/14:15
S: 14:30 (45mins)
A:
S: 16:30 (30mins)
BT: 19:00
On other days it looks different. If he has a longer 2nd nap then he often has another 45mins around 15:30ish and that will be it until BT.
It all depends on where is 2nd Nap gets us to. In general I try to put him down again 1h45-2hrs A time, and make sure he’s always finished all cat naps by 5pm.
It’s not perfect, but it’s what I’m currently muddling through!
