Morning!
I was wondering if a 5 month old nurses anywhere from 3-3.5 hours is that common? She’s a month early so I feed on demand but she’s been wanting to comfort nurse before sleep. She doesn’t rely on feeding to sleep. Today she cried before her nap as if discomfort and rooting. I put my finger in her mouth and she was clamping down. Is this teething?
She’s doing 1.75-2 hour A times but is she hungry? Should I be doing a top up?

Sorry for the delay?
How are things now? Breastfed babies will nurse more often yes. If she's rooting that sounds like hunger.

Things are pretty good on the BF front. She’s eating between 3.25-4hrs and one over night feed.
She is in fact teething so sometimes will want to stay on the breast for comfort. I let her bc it’s nowhere near sleep time.
I realized that sometimes she will root when she is falling asleep as a self-soothe like she turns her head and does the sucking sound. So I guess it was that
