Title: help teaching 8.5 month old baby to sleep independantly
Post by: Rebecca123 on September 02, 2019, 12:01:13 pm
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me. Our daughter currently is 8.5 months old and basically gets held to sleep in my arms before being placed in her cot.
She uses a paci and in the middle of the night wakes and sometimes settles with giving her her paci if it has fallen out or patting her or sometimes we need to hold her back to sleep or feed her.
I am unsure where to start! If I try lying her down after nursing her for her bedtime she usually just starts standing up in her cot and gets herself all happy and awake (even if she is exhausted).
I would love any tips of where to start at this point and ideally nighttime sleep even more than her naps!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Rebecca
