Title: 7 month old major sleep issues
Post by: 1sttimer86 on November 03, 2019, 21:25:15 pm
Hi, I am looking for some advice regarding all aspects of my lo's sleep..... Here goes...
Currently I cuddle him to sleep on our bed and let him sleep there. He is safe and I have a monitor on him at all times but of course this is not ideal.
No real routine but I try and put him down after about 2.5 hours of awake time. He is EBF and I have been the only one to ever put him down for naps or bedtime. I go back to work in a few months and it's totally unfair on him and the people who will be looking after him if he can't sleep in his cot.
I have tried a few times to put him into his cot to sleep either already asleep (he wakes up straight away), or if I try to get him to sleep on there it's just a screaming session.
Nighttime, I bring him upstairs at 7pm and he feeds to sleep. I put him into his cot and he wakes after half an hour so I usually let him sleep on the bed again until I go to bed around 10pm.
He will go into his cot then for about 30 mins then wakes up and I bring him in with me and we Co sleep for the rest of the night. L
I don't mind Co sleeping but would prefer if I could get him to sleep in his own room in his cot.
I have a 4 year old girl who I would love to sometimes put to bed again and my husband put the baby to bed but at the minute there is no way of this happening.
Also, I introduced a dummy at 6 months to encourage longer naps as he always fed to sleep before.
I realise there are a lot of issues to address here so all advice and help is much welcome.
Thanks.
