Title: Dream Feed
Post by: mirshine on August 11, 2005, 19:11:46 pm
Is anyone else having trouble with a windy baby after the dream feed?

The first night was fine.  The last few not so good.  She was restless for the whole night, bringing her knees up to her chest.  Last night I tried winding her while keeping her asleep.  She got a good few windies out down below but there were still some in there as the same thing happened last night.  Its a bit frustrating - I could wake her up, but sometimes that doesn't help anyway.

Any tips??

Thanks

Hhhhmmmm... not sure what to suggest... as dd is a reflux babe we had to keep her upright after all feeds so we would slowly walk about the room after the df while rubbing up the left side of her back before we layed her down... is she gassy any other time?

Hi

They usually take in less air with a dreamfeed because they're more relaxed but by the sounds of if (raising her legs up) she's definitley getting some in there.

What position do you wind her in? I found that over the shoulder was easiest after a dreamfeed (with rubbing rather than patting) because I could do that without waking her up.

Let us know how you get on

love

Thanks guys I'll try the over the shoulder and see how that works.  I was afraid that would wake her up.
For the first 3 months she suffered 24 hours with wind, but thankfully that started to ease at the 3 month mark.
