Title: Constipation record!
Post by: klt on August 31, 2005, 09:16:53 am
My dd had been quite constipated after consuming too much banana I think.  I checked out an old thread here on the problem and tried out the Q-tip technique which did the trick, thank you (as well as the 4 'P's of course)!

Anyway I was just talking to my brother and told him dd had been 3 days without going and he said "oh, that's nothing, my friend's lo went 13 days and the doctor (in UK) said not to worry until 3 wks had gone by"  - can you believe this?!!

i can bellieve it - my friend's little girl went just about 3 weeks once (this was while my dd1 went at every single breast feed  every single day!!) it really does vary from kid to kid and as long as they are not in pain it is not a problem. at least it is less poopy nappies to change  :D

My dd was like your dd1 before we started solids so I thought this was a big deal but clearly it's nothing!  At least I know not to worry too soon next time (although she is so much more cheerful after yesterday's evacuation!)
