My DD is almost 6 months old and wakes every 4 hours to feed (day and night). I am exhausted! I thought that she would be able to go longer than this. She is BF but is starting solids.
Is this normal for some kids? How do I lengthen the time in between wakings if it is not normal? TIA!

Have you tried feeding more often during the day? Perhaps every three hours? Dd is bf, but we only switched to a four-hour schedule during the day when she started having three solid meals a day.

I did start feeding more on demand but I think that she was becoming a snacker! She has solids 3x a day but not much at all (2 teaspoons maybe?). I just don't want her to become a snacker again. Also, she used to sleep a 6 hour stretch a couple of months ago but that is gone now?!

You're coming up on 6mos. If feeding every four hours day and night is a relatively new thing, it could be her 6mos growth spurt. Dd spurted about one week shy of 6mos. Does she take a full feed when she wakes at night?
