Title: Ever heard of strange/bad reaction to DHA/ARA?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone out there has a baby who had a bad reaction to the formula containing DHA/ARA? We usually give our baby the regular Similac formula with iron (not the Similac Advance), and she does fine on it. We recently bought some of the Similac Advance with DHA/ARA because it was on sale, and for the past 2 days and last night, our dd has had lots of trouble sleeping. We're trying to determine what the cause is...could it be the DHA/ARA?

Hi Melanie,
We haven't had trouble with DHA/ARA personally, but a friend's baby gets horrible gas when using formula with DHA/ARA and becomes very fussy.  Her ped told her to stay away from any DHA/ARA formula for her daughter.
