I've have read some of other messages but I need some advice.
My DD is 13 weeks old (premmie by 3 weeks) her day goes like this.
7.00am Get up and feed.
7.15am Activity (change nappy and have a talk on floor and make noises).
8.00am yawns then we go to bed and she goes off like a light sometimes for 30 mins or maybe an 1 hour.
10.00am feed
10.15am activity (change nappy, talk or watch telly).
11.00 - 11.15 yawn goes off to bed no problem.
1.00pm feed
1.15pm activity (same as before)
2.00pm -2.30pm yawn goes off to bed no problem.
4.00pm feeds
4.15pm activity (same as before)
5.15pm yawns goes off to bed. Sometimes she stays awake other times she sleeps for about 20 mins.
6.00pm Bath
6.30pm feed
7.00pm yawns and goes to bed don't hear a peep from her.
10.30pm Boyfriend does this feed.
10.45pm Goes back to sleep.
heres where the problem is
Anywhere between 3.30am -5.00am she wakes up she doesn't cry to be fed she talks constantly and laughs. If she spits her dummy out she is okay for about 10 mins and then fights to get out of swaddling, till I put her dummy in. Then we have sucking constantly then spits it out, then we repeat it again.
6.00am She finally falls asleep till 6.30am.
6.30am she wakes up and giggles till 7.00am when we start her day.
I want her to either sleep through till 6.30am or 7.00am not have me up from around 3.30am until we get up. I want to "wake to sleep" but she can have different patterns every night.
She is such an angel baby now and I don't want to put back her bedtime because she is so tired.
Please advice me where you can. Will this early morning waking ever end.

Sorry you are having that problem, but hun, it is actually developmental... she has slept long enough for her body & just wants to "play". At her age, she probably hasn't quite established night from day & so is still "working it out"
Annoying as it is if she isn't crying, you should just leave her, although, have you tried feeding her at this time? My lo used to do something like that & I found feeding actually settled him back to sleep. My though is if she is spitting the dummy out there is a need to feed, even if it isn't an urgent hunger.

I tried that last week, that just wakes her up more. She is going through without feeding in the middle of the night now for 2 days. So maybe she wakes up intent on feeding and then realise she isn't hungry. So maybe it will get better. I hope so.
