I need some help with my schedule please-
I have 14 month old twin boys who are still on 2 naps, waking early and teething. I'd like to start moving to 1 nap but not sure how with two of them. Here is our day:
5:50-6:15am wake (sometimes earlier)
6:30am - milk and a few cheerios
730am - breakfast and then play
930am- they are ready for 1st nap (1 1/2 or 2 hours) I try to keep them awake but it is hard with two
1100-1130am- wake and have sippy of milk
1200pm -lunch and then play
230-300pm - 2nd nap 45 min to 1 1/2 hours (sometime they don't seem tired but 400pm is too late for nap)
400-430pm -wake up and have sippy milk
530-600pm - dinner
700-730pm- bed
Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hello,
I had the same issues with my son at that age when we were trying to transition to one nap. He was also teething (molars), and waking early. I pretty much went cold turkey with the one nap. I found that when he stared to get tired at his usual am nap time, I would give him a snack and this would give him some energy to make it a bit longer. I then picked a nap time that was in between the 2 nap times, so around here it was around 11:30. Some days early on he only slept for 45 min. as I am sure he was overtired, but he quickly settled into it and then was napping at least 2 hours at a time, and still does.
Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for your quick response. I think I will attempt the 1 nap tomorrow and see how it goes. I bet giving them a snack will help keep them up a little longer. Did you adjust your bedtime when you went to 1 nap? If so by how much? Thanks, Kelly

Hi Kelly,
Yes, I did adjust his bedtime to earlier. The days that he only napped for 45 min. or an hour he would go down at 6:30. But. overall it moved to 7 and is still 7.
Good luck tomorrow, let me know how it goes!
