Hi admin,
I can't log out at all, so it looks like i am on here 24hrs a day :roll: :shock:
I have tried to clear my cookies etc...and have retyped babywhisperer.com.
any ideas??

Just leave it Poppy, it'll log you out automatically after an hour anyway :D

mmmm i've been logged on all night....when i went on this morning i was already on...should I just leave it... :D

is there still problems with the site?? it is doing some funky things like not letting me log out at all at any point, then when i try to post something it goes back to the expand menu... :roll:
anyway i know you admin guys are great i just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me....

There are still problems Poppy, but the site should be almost normal to use now.
Have you deleted your cookies recently? If not then try that, following these instructions;
Open browser, but don't access the Baby Whisperer site.
Tools > Internet Options > General Tab (should already be open on this).
Click 'Delete Cookies' & 'Delete Files' (If you haven't done this for some time, it may take a while to delete). Close browser and re-open.
Login into the site using the login box at the bottom of the forum index, or using http://www.babywhisperer.com/forum/login.php

sorry to be so annoying, I am sure you have loads on your plate but I can not check my personal messages, when I click on it, I am redirected to the forum index. Any ideas?

have done everything you have suggested and it still won't log me out even after 1 hr when i click on log out it keeps me logged in and just takes me back to the expand menu....i also can't access my PM's....strange :?

Poppy, when you're logging is the check box for "Log me on automatically each visit" ticked, if so, try unchecking it, it defaults to having a tick in it for every log in. Even though you may be shown as logged in, when you close your browser you are not shown as being logged into the site.

i can't get back to the log in box to check....whenever i try to log out it just sends me to the expand page...it's like i'm stuck in a time warp i can't escape :lol:
I've tried to re enter the website address and as soon as i click on the boards bit it shows up as me logged on :? i can't get out help!!!! :lol:

Poppy try this;
point your mouse over the log out link at the top, right-click your mouse and select properties, when the properties box comes up, right-click your mouse on the text next to "Address: (URL)" it should start http, then 'select all' (you have to do this as some text is hidden) once it's highlighted, copy & paste it into your address bar, now delete the the before babywhisperer.com and press 'go'. See if it logs you out.

I managed to log in eventually and now i can't log out again :roll: do i have to repeat your instructions everytime i want to log out?? or is there a way of making it permanent??

There's no way of making it permanent at the moment Poppy until Andy has it completely fixed.
All I can suggest for the moment is to log yourself out using the instructions, then clear your cookies and temp files, close the browser, re-start it and then try logging-in using the login at the bottom of the forum index, see if that solves it for you.
BTW, is there a reason you need to be logged out at the end of each session?

no not really its just that everyone will think i'm on here 24hrs a day :shock: :lol: and also people have tried to pm me thinking i'm online then they think i'm ignoring them when i don't reply... :oops:

I was wondering the same thing, especially if it shows me on here 24 hrs a day. I tried the copy and paste instructions, but it didn't work. If I delete cookies under internet options, does that delete cookies for everything, or just this site? TIA

Poppy & Heather, the site won't show you logged in 24/7. Once you've closed your browser or been inactive for 60mins the software is set to log you out. The reason why you are seeing yourself logged in constantly, is that each time you access the site your are logged in automatically, this gives the impression that you haven't been logged out (it's actually designed to do this). I can assure that as I type this you are not showing as being logged in. :)
Heather, if you delete cookies, it deletes all the cookies on your computer, when clearing cookies you should really clear temp. files too, this can get a little tedious, especially if you have a lot of websites you visit that require you to login as it'll clear that info too. Mozilla Firefox gives you an option to clear individual cookies only, but IE doesn't.
