Post by: kal on November 12, 2005, 12:24:53 pm
I've been making my own baby food since 4 months and I'm thinking maybe DS is getting alittle bored and is now old enough to try some other types of food, below is what he's had so far, any other ideas of suggestions for this age?

green beans
> mashed bananas
> pear
> apple
> sweet potato
> avacado (didn't like this)
> peas
> carrots
> zucchini
> squash
> grapes in the mesh feeder
> apricot
mango (just tried this week)
> applesauce
> cantaloupe in mesh feeder
> peaches
> plums
> pumpkin
>yogurt
>cherrios and fruit/veggie puffs

How about meat?  Don't know if you're a vegetarian or not but Zoe loves hamburger, chicken, ham and roasts.  Also fish - she loves salmon.  Her favorite vegetable is broccoli.

Cheese (regular or cottage cheese)
Toast
Kiwi
Sandwiches (grilled cheese, tuna)
Whole wheat crackers
Whole wheat pasta (a lot of times I'll add spinach)
Eggs (yolk or the whites too depending on what you are comfortable with)

Veg - potatoes, parsnips, cauliflower

Fruit - berries, papaya, raisins (stewed and pureed like prunes)

Dairy - cottage cheese, small cubes of soft cheese

Grain - well-cooked small pasta shapes, couscous

Legumes - lentils, black beans (dd loves carrots and lentils mixed together)
