Title: Question about adding cheese
Post by: ChasMom on December 17, 2005, 20:07:39 pm
The ped gave us the go ahead to add baby yogurt and cheese to DS's diet.  So just looking for some ideas on what type of cheeses I can start with that are soft enough.
Thanks!

My favorite was string cheese. It's really soft, so I'd cut it into small chunks for finger food. I'd also make grilled cheese sandwiches torn into tiny bits. HTH!

Ant kind of soft cheese is fine.  Dd likes cheddar, mozzarela, brie, american.  She also likes cream cheese on banana bread and pizza.

Generally speaking, start with hard cheeses such as cheddar, edam (which I love) and mozzarella & parmesan.  Skip the blue cheeses as they may contain listeriosis.
