Title: So how does it work? **RESOLVED**
Post by: JennŠ on January 23, 2006, 19:14:00 pm
How do I use the new stuff like color and motion?  Having trouble figuring that out.  And what did it mean when it told me my session timed out?

i can help you out with the session question . when you login it gives you a choice of how long. forever , 1 hour, month. depending which you choose , after that time i think it logs you out.

Jenn,

Maybe I can help with the text stuff......are you using the quick reply to answer your posts?

I'll just reply quickly for now.

Use the standard reply box and not the quick reply option (if you have it enabled).

Once it's open, you will see various square icons that show different options.  Click one that you think you would like and it'll paste into the reply box a pair of BBCode commands.  You need to type any text you like within those boxes.

eg.

[ b][ /b]  those are the commands for Bold(no spaces), so if you type between those two commands, like this (exc. spaces).....

[ b]This is Bold[ /b]   you will get the following displayed when you post...

This is Bold

Basically you need to enclose your text within the command brackets, so if it begins with it must end with noting that / closes the command.

In time we'll get more detailed instructions up, unless someone is prepared to volunteer :P

Have a tinker with it, and use the Preview button to test your settings before you post.

HTH  :D
